Dear Sir,

It’s my great pleasure to inform you that, I have won
this time an International Textile Innovation Award. The “Théophile Legrand International Award for
Textile Innovation 2010” is an initiative by the Théophile Legrand
Foundation – Institut de France as well as by the CLUBTEX (Association of Technical
Textile Industries of France). The aim of this award is to reward two
individuals, able to create tomorrow’s textile, for their original design in
the area of technical textile: fabric or fibre, innovative combinations of
materials or new industrial production techniques. The call of papers for such
competition was open for the young researchers (e.g. Ph.D. Students) from all
countries. The major selection criteria were Innovation, Creativity and Industrial Application. The prize
ceremony was held at the ENSAIT (Roubaix, France) on 19^th of November 2010. Out of numerous
applicants only 16 applications were considered for the final day of
competition. Finally, only two applications were selected for only two prizes
(1^st Prize: 10000 Euro, 2^nd Prize: 8000 Euro). And, I won
the 2^nd prize for my contribution titled: “Flat knitted innovative 3D spacer fabrics using hybrid yarns for high
performance composite applications (for Automobile, Aircraft, etc)”. The

It is for your kind information that, this is my 2^nd Textile Innovation Award.
Last year I won also the Innovation Award for Technical Textile within Germany (also 2^nd Place).  For more

By the way, I have sent a small video clip of the prize
ceremony as well as my presentation at “Théophile Legrand International Award for Textile Innovation 2010” at
ENSAIT (France). I apologize for the bad lighting in the video since it was in
movie-show (theater) condition prepared artificially. Moreover, the video was not
made professionally.
