Dr. Muhammad Abdul Malek completed his undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Dhaka and later pursued higher studies and research in Rural and Development Economics. For nearly two decades, he has been actively involved in research on rural development and economic policy, both in Bangladesh and internationally. He has worked with Bangladesh’s government institutions such as BARD (Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development) and in the Comilla region, as well as with the research and evaluation department of the leading NGO BRAC.
