About Us

biggani.org is a community of Bangladeshi scientists dedicated to inspiring young people in research and higher education. We share interviews and information about researchers and scientists in Bengali to make science and technology more accessible and engaging.

We believe that minimizing the digital divide starts with developing content in our own language. By providing science and technology-related materials—such as articles, essays, tutorials, and books in Bengali—we aim to encourage the younger generation to pursue careers in these fields.

Our initiative focuses on highlighting the stories and insights of researchers and scientists to motivate young minds. We want to shift the national perspective from being mere users of imported technology to becoming creators of our own innovations.

We warmly invite young scientists and researchers to join our community as volunteers. Your contributions can help us develop high-quality content that educates and inspires future generations.

Our platform is fully automated and interactive. Writers can submit articles with figures, multimedia, and videos through our online submission system. Readers can leave comments, fostering a collaborative environment that enriches our content. Notifications keep both writers and readers engaged in ongoing discussions.

While we primarily focus on Bengali content to enhance science learning in our native language, we also offer a section for English articles, recognizing the importance of English in global science and technology.

Since our journey began on March 6, 2006, we’ve reached 189,436 readers who have viewed over 1,865,684 pages—an average of 5.48 pages per visitor (as on 5 March 2012). We have 5,816 registered members, including 364 writers who have contributed 1,329 articles. Our community has engaged in 2,911 comments, reflecting active participation and interest.

We are committed to achieving quality education for all and building inclusive knowledge societies. Beyond our digital platform, we plan to organize science fairs in schools and colleges to further reach and inspire the younger generation.
